Finally! A blog to help med students plan electves....

As the title suggest, finally! My first post.... Okay, just for your info, i am a third year medical student from Malaysia. And, as all medical student know, elective during our third or fourth year is probably going to be one of the highlights of our otherwise looooong and torturous medical degree!

My uni, XXXXX, made it compulsory for all medical students to undergo an elective placement of their choice at the end of fourth year. As i began to plan my elective placement, i began to realise how troublesome it is to do so, especially when the planned elective is not locally done.

Thus, the purpose of this blog! I wanted to use this blog as some sort of forum for all medical students to discuss and help each other out in planning electives. For an example, any medical students planning to do their elective in Malaysia can get help with accommodation and placement along with other bureaucratic procedures from any Malaysian medical student who subscribes to this blog. In return, they should help any foreign medical students planning to do their placement in their own country.

I really hope this would help a lot of us to plan our electives! It is meant to be a highlight of our medical degree and lets it be so!
